The Middle East is an area where vehicle is king and fuel is inexpensive, typically leaving little reward to find more environmentally-friendly ways of moving around.

But this year, as protests across the Middle East have actually risen the rate of oil, the concern of discovering alternative sources of fuel has entered sharp focus.

In a region that has among the highest carbon footprints worldwide, one service is benefiting from the growing pressure to find alternatives to oil. It's established the Middle East's first scheme to oil into biodiesel. It's showing lucrative too, currently their client-list includes McDonald's.
